Between March and May, MetKasekor team led by the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Battambang conducted five filed showcases where land preparation and planting cover crops took place in five villages of three districts including Rattanak Mundul, Banan, and Sangke.

The two field showcases were presided by Mr. Long Phon, Deputy- Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Battambang and representatives from the Department of Extension for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DEAFF), the Department of Land Resources Management (DALRM), and the Department of Agricultural Engineering (DAEng). Over 200 farmers showed up to the two field showcases to see the land preparation and planting cover crops using sub-soiler demonstrated by Conservation Agriculture Research for Development Center (CARDEC). Private seeking agricultural and banking sector also presented themselves at the events to have a direct engagement and to provide insight of their products and services to small holder farmers who are seeking for products and services for farming purposes. Having seen the field showcases, farmers showed their interests in switching to agroecology farming (conservation agriculture) as they have understood well about climate change and are looking for a new way of farming that will cope up with the current and future condition of climate. Since 2021, MetKasekor has been working with the government from national to provincial level to open market for private sector to invest and provide products and services to farmers who practice ecological farming. In 2023, MetKasekor has provided extension service on agroecological farming to over 3000 farmers in both provinces of Battambang and Preah Vihear.
