Drug Interactions between meclizine and Synthroid
This is important as 32% of patients who think they are on SYNTHROID are actually not given this because substitutions are made at the pharmacy. 54% of prescriptions for SYNTHROID were not protected with a DAW or state-specific language in one study. Levothyroxine is one of the ten NTI drug classes most commonly prescribed. These medications are those where small changes in the dose or blood concentration may lead to serious therapeutic failures and/or adverse drug reactions. Meclizine is a first-generation antihistamine (non-selective H1 antagonist).
Interactions between your drugs
Discuss with your healthcare professional the use of your medicine with food, alcohol, or tobacco. Tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to this medicine or any other medicines. Also tell your health care professional if you have any other types of allergies, such as to foods, dyes, preservatives, or animals. Meclizine administration is administered as chewable or non-chewable oral tablets. Chewable tablets must be crushed or completely chewed before swallowing. There is no established therapeutic level for meclizine. Just like any drug, patients require clinical monitoring for any adverse reactions. Ask your doctor before using meclizine together with ethanol (alcohol).
That is primary, secondary, or tertiary hypothyroidism, either due to congenital or acquired state. It is not indicated for the suppression of benign thyroid nodules, or for non-toxic defuse goiter in iodine-sufficient patients.
